Notes & Photos:
Jan 27/22: Started swatching properly today :) Am using the special test chart (51 sts by 65 rows on each side) I designed,  B&L Sp in Paddy Green, Violet, and Yellow, and a size 2.5 circ. I'll know more once I have the gauge, but at this point and extrapolating from RF I'll need 5 hanks (assuming B&L Sp as the yarn), really 4.6 hanks but you can't buy partial hanks, of each color. 15 hanks of wool :O Photos of where the swatch is currently:
In progress: yellow and purple stylized flowers alternate on a green background.

In progress: green and yellow stylized flowers alternate across a purple background.

A= Paddy Green (leftover ball weighed 102g before beginning)
B= Violet (leftover ball weighed 81g before beginning)
C= Yellow (leftover ball weighed 87g before beginning)
B&L Sp is 430yds = 113g

June 29/22: Set this down a bit ago so not done the swatch yet. I'm 24 rows into it. I've made a few oopsies but it's going pretty good overall. Here's a pic collage of both sides:

So 40-odd rows to go. I might have it done by New Year's at this pace 😂

Oct 17/22: Worked some rows on this. Have to say I don't enjoy how much the colors stick together when I'm trying to work with them. Makes switching sides a pain. Green on purple doesn't show up great. Oddly purple on green works well. The yellow is a total beacon on both sides
