Brigid @ Mosaic 2010

A tonal blues/teals sock with a short-row heel and cable panel down the front

Pattern: Brigid by Renee Leverington (Only available on Ravelry as far as I can tell)

Started: June 3, 2010

Finished: June 19, 2010

Made for: Síle aka me/ Mosaic project

Yarn: Zivec Designs sockweight (430yds = 100g)
  • 0.5 hanks of "Shaded Turquoise" = 215 yds
Needle size: 3.5mm/ US 4

Notes: printed patt 5/05/10
swatched 5/30/10: going to cast on 56sts & center the cable patt. Like the look of cable going all the way down & of course changing to a short-row heel as I despise gussets.
I also continued the ribbing all the down the foot for a nicer fit.
6/05/10: Finished sock 1; cast on sock 2 :)
6/11/10: Finished heel on sock 2 :)
6/17/10: Would’ve finished last night, but decided to compare sock1 & sock2. Sock2 was about 2” longer, not done :( Had to rip back & am now reworking. It’s almost as though I’m not supposed to have my own socks.

6/04: Isn't this cable pretty?! Love how it looks in a tonal yarn
