Notes & Photos:
Sept. 10: Hurricane Larry is on its way to Newfoundland! I need a semi-mindless project. Plus it's Square Dance Weekend at Ilvermorny. AND on top of that this lovely kit arrived yesterday; a complete and utter surprise from S :)

Oh! And K (aka Roomie Sis) is in St. John's!! I'm here with the cats, alone. Actually it isn't too bad so far. I have extra water in the fridge, plus in the bathtub. I have candles and my devices are charged in case of an outage. And I have food that doesn't require electricity to prepare/eat. I've got this.

And this lovely blanket kit! The yarn is sooooo soft! I would've sworn it is merino. Seriously; excellent quality. And the colors!! Oh my, you have to see the variety of colors! It's a bag of rainbows! Here's the two photos I took before I started weighing the skeins:
7 100g skeins of various colors of yarn: dark moss green, bright dark pink, moss green, light blue, blue-purple, and rust.

8 100g skeins of yarn in the following colors: purple, dark aqua, dark lavender, orange, light lavender, teal, raspberry pink, and lime green.

Aren't they glorious?? I love color lol Ok, enough fawning over the yarn, it's time to start. It's recommended to make a gauge square to keep to a size (4 inches or less) that you won't run out of yarn. The recommended hook is a 4.0mm, and since I'm not familiar with this yarn that's what I'm starting with.

Later: Um, well 4.0mm is not going to work. My square is 4.5 inches across instead of only 4 inches (or less!). So, going to re-do this with my 3.5mm hook. The mis-sized square:
A green granny square with a short ruler over it, showing the square is a smidge over 4.5 inches wide.

Later (11:06pm): Closer but I still haven't got the cigar!!!! Oh my. Going down to 3.0mm! (My 3.25mm hook is mysteriously AWOL. I'm not even sure where it could be) And as always the mis-sized square:
A green granny square with a clear ruler over it, showing that the square measures 4.25 inches.

Later (Sept 11 - 12:47am):  Got it this time! Now I can start the actual pattern, finally lol. Here's my final swatch:
A green granny square with a clear ruler over it, showing it is 3.75 inches wide.

On to the actual blanket!

Later (Sept 11 - 1:44am): First square done :) From inside out, Apple, Bluebell, & Wisteria
Granny square: first round is apple (green), second and third rounds are bluebell (blue-purple), fourth and fifth rounds are wisteria (light lavender).

This is going much better :)

Later (Sept 11 - 4:03am): And that's another finished :) Square 2 is Sage, Boysenberry, & Violet:
The previously shown square is on the left of a pair of joined granny squares. The one on the right is (center to outer) 1 round of sage, 2 rounds of boysenberry (raspberry pink), & 2 rounds of violet (dark lavender).

Later (Sept 11 - 5:31am): I've added another square (which I think matches me with C in our little Staff make-along). I have a rhythm going with the pieces although I still need to check the instructions for the joining section. Square 3 is colors lime, pomegranate, & boysenberry. Here's the third square all joined up to the first two:
3 joined granny squares, the first 2 already described above, The furthermost one on the right consists of (center to outer rounds) 1 round of lime (dark moss), 2 rounds of pomegranate (dark pink), and 2 rounds of boysenberry (raspberry pink).

The blanket is 12 squares across and 12 down; 144 squares total. This could take awhile lol

Sept. 12: I've made and joined 3 more squares :) The first one s cloud blue, bluebell & proper purple. The second is violet, cloud blue & bluebell. The third is apple, proper purple & wisteria. And here's a photo of all 6 currently complete squares:
The 6 joined granny squares. They are in a straight line.

Oct. 15: Square Dance Weekend has returned! I have my first square underway; how many will this weekend see? We'll find out! (Pomegranate & Cornish blue in the following photo: )
An in progress granny square. The center round is a bright midtone pink, and the second and start of the third rounds are with a greyish blue.

Oct. 18: I have 24 squares done now! 2 full rows! 18 done this SDW! :) Crappy weather is a great reason to stay in and stitch. Here's what the blanket is looking like now:
Two rows of 12 squares. The strip is arranged bottom left to top right of the frame.

Nov. 19: The return of SDW, and it's a rainy ol' day :) Guess I'll just have to hunker down and get my "Meeting" underway ;)

Nov. 21: 6 squares for this dance :)
2 and a half rows of multicoloured granny squares. The full rows have 12 squares in them.

Now to get some progress on a few other projects so I can make check-ins on them without rushing to get new photos.

Dec. 4: 1 square for this month's dance. Too many other things need finishing this month, plus tonight's my speculaas baking night :)
A granny square in, from center, orangey-red, blue, and lime. There are other squares around it not in focus.

Jan. 9/22: We've decided to have a weekly check in during our Friday Zoom chats where we'll each send the other two a photo of the last square we completed. This might motivate us to work on our blankets more often. So tonight I did 2 more squares, bringing me to 33/144. 3 more and I'm a quarter done.

Jan. 24/22: Submitted #34 for January SDW. Jakey broke me Saturday; weird crack/grinding sound in my back followed by odd cold breeze feeling in both legs and a lot of pain in 3 spots of my back :( So much for getting back into my heavies this month

Feb. 28/22: Another Square Dance Weekend and 2 more squares done. These are #37 and #38. Somehow I failed to record squares #35 and #36? 🤔 No clue how that happened. Here are 37 & 38:
Two multicoloured granny squares attached to a previous row of squares. The photo is focused on the two new squares so we only see the edges of the previous ones.

March 21/22: Square 39 completed for this month's SDW. Not much but it's progress! Once I get Squish's sweater done I can put some extra time into this.

April 7/22: SDW for April starts tomorrow. My goal is to knock out 9 squares to finish the 4th row off. That's my plan anyway! We'll see how it actually goes...

April 8/22: Nearly done my 1st square of the weekend :) This is square 40
An in-progress granny square with a lavender center, a light yellow-green 2 round stripe, and an orange-gold outer round. The hook can be seen ready to work the final round with the orange-gold yarn.

April 11/22: Woot! Got 9 done to complete row 4 :) That's now 48/144 or one quarter :)

May 16/22: Sadly, sinus pain gave way to a pseudo-migraine and 1 square is all I can manage this weekend. Here's block 49:

June 3/22: Another SDW is here! Time to make a dent in this blanket.

later: Got one square done. But then I had an unpleasant surprise. Sometime during our cleaning, Silver got upset and peed on the meshbag holding the yarn for this project. So I reached into the bag to get the balls for square 51 and noticed a weird crusty spot on one. A quick sniff told me what it was, and then I examined the bag and found the noticeable spot. In the end 9 balls were hit. 6 were spared.

I carefully removed the ball bands and thought I tied the bag up tight enough to wash them but upon taking them out of the washer, an absolute horror of tangled yarn was facing me. Needless to say, I can't face it right now. I want to cry thinking about it! This will remain at 50 squares for quite awhile until I sort out all that mess 😭

Square 50:

July 14/22: She said she did it but I was still surprised when I went to the mail today and there was a great big bundle from Wool Warehouse. Yup, my wonderful friend who gifted me the kit in the first place sent a second one so I can finish my blanket 🥹 I have the absolute best craft pals.

And it arrived right in time for this month's SDW. Serendipity! I won't have missed one on this project, although I also plan to make at least one square on my RGH as well.

I'm not quite sure how to go about estimating how much yarn has been used so far either, but I'll figure something out!

July 17/22 (6:07pm NDT): I've weighed the 6 not-tangled together skeins, and figured out how many squares have used each of them. I hope I can estimate from that how much I've used of the other colors. Then I can "close off" those lines and add in the new ones. This is going to be a tangle of its own. Oh well! It also means I'll have a yardage estimate on the first 50 squares so that's good. Off to math so I can get to crochet a square or two today!! The estimated numbers based on 1.5g/sq will be in bold type.

(6:49pm NDT): I've calculated that I've crocheted 576.4 yards in the existing 50 squares. Now to add the second balls of the various colors to my yarn list, weigh them and start crocheting again...

(7:56pm NDT): I've weighed the new yarn and organized it with the 6 good skeins from the original. Now to tackle square 51: Cornish blue, apple, and spearmint.

July 18/22 (9:01pm NDT): In spite of humidity and thunderstorm warnings and watches, I've completed squares 51-55 since my last update. That's enough dancing for this weekend lol New pic of the whole blanket:

September 9/22: (2:57am NDT): Square Dance Weekend has returned! Woot! I need 5 squares to finish row 5 on this beauty. 5 is the goal, anything else is pure gravy. Let's do this!...

September 11/22 (6pm NDT): What is it about SDW and September hurricanes? Last year it was Larry, this year it's Earl. Only rain and a bit of wind here thankfully. Oddly more than we got with Larry out this way. Storms are weird!

I can report 8 squares done so far :) Hoping to get a few more done but I've got a bit of a sinus thing happening giving me a headache and sore throat 🤧🤒 Will see my final tally tomorrow

September 12/22 (11:58pm NDT): Completed squares 56 to 68 😊 13 squares done this SDW, and here's how it's looking:

October 15/22 (5:43am NDT): SDW is back! I need 4 squares to finish row 6 and hit the halfway mark! And Sistwerp is off to Town in a couple hours so I'll have lots of crafting time this  weekend :) 4 squares and a completed swatch for Ceol is my goal; we'll see how that goes!

October 17/22 (1:37am NDT): 4 squares done to finish the row 😊 Officially half done with this project!

November 26/22: Square 73 is done and submitted for the Pukwudgie House Challenge. The colors reminded me of Sanremo's flower market which I made a photo collage of:

And here's square 73:

December 5/22: Square 74 finished for the December SDW 😊

January 13/23 (2:35am NST): SDW has returned! My goal is to knock out 10 squares (75-84) to complete the current row. Will I get to 84 before Monday night? I've done it before lol

January 16/23 (11:11pm NST): 13 squares! I made squares 75-87 this weekend 😊 Here's where that puts me:

Oh and I need to put this pic here too. My blanket has been claimed and I almost didn't get to join in a few squares yesterday lol. That floofy face! Do you hear Jakey saying 'What you mean your blankie? Clearly is my blankie, Auntie!"

February 3/23 (4:04am NST): Time for February's SDW! I need to complete and join 9 squares to complete the row; squares 88-96. Let's see how it goes!

February 5/23 (7:10am NST): Just completed square 102! That makes 15 so far this weekend. Might get row 9 completed at this rate lol We shall see! 😉

February 6/23: (8:39pm NST): I've finished row 9 lol I think 21 squares is sufficient for one weekend so am stopping here to grab the photo. Only 3 more rows of squares left before the border!

March 3/23: SDW has returned and it's time to crochet some squares! I ended last time with square 108, so this weekend I'm aiming for 12 squares to get another full row in. That would give me 120 squares done, and 2 rows left to go 😊 Let's get at it!

March 6/23: 10 squares this weekend 😊 Not quite my goal but a decent amount of work. This is squares 109-118 done. And it's all coming together:

June 10/23 (6:38pm NDT): Haven't touched this in too long (rotator cuff injury flare up for ~ 6 weeks), but it's June's SDW and I'm ready to dance some squares! Starting where I left off in March, at square 119. No goal this month; I'm still trying to take things a bit easy with my arm. Off I go; to the dance!...

June 12/23 (10:36pm NDT): 4 squares this weekend; 119 through 122. I'm happy with that. Here's where that puts the blanket (excuse the state of the chair; only the cats sit on it):

That leaves 22 squares and the border to go; I think this will be done by year's end 😊

June 30/23 (1:16am NDT): SDW returns in 14 minutes! I won't be picking up my hook until daylight returns *yawn*. But I thought I'd take this chance to take stock: I need 10 squares to finish the current row, and 22 would complete the squares and leave me with the border to do.

July 3/23 (technically July 4th here; 12:33am NDT): I managed 5 squares this weekend :( Feeling very behind in everything right now. Here's how the blanket is looking:

July 27/23 (4:32am NDT): Tomorrow starts another SDW :) Can I knock out the final 17 squares?? I'm gonna damn well try!!

July 28/23 (1:44am NDT): Or ya know, I could look at the official calender and not jump the gun; SDW starts on August 18th *facepalm* *headdesk* *facepalm*

Aug 18/23 (3:56am NDT): Ok, this time it really is SDW! lol 17 squares to go; can I do it? We'll find out!

Aug 21/23 (3:16am NDT): Interesting development this weekend: I can't find my 3mm hook. The next closest I have is a 3.5mm. Normally this would be a lot looser than the rest of my squares. But(!) I've made a discovery. If I crochet "properly", that is holding the yarn with my left hand instead of my usual hybrid kni-chet (hook and yarn in my right hand throwing the yarn opposite to how I knit), my sts are a lot smaller :) I'm also a lot slower lol 2 squares so far for SDW; I hope I can get 3 more done to at least finish this row. It'll keep til daylight anyway

August 22/23 (1:28am NDT): 4 squares done amid power outages, kitty tummy troubles, and massive humidity spikes. 🥵 What a weekend! Here they are:

13 squares left to go!

Sept 8/23 (1:57am NDT): SDW is back! And I have 13 squares to go. How will I do this weekend? We shall see!

I will say it would be much easier if this high humidity and above seasonal temps would frig off. It shouldn't be 25°C with humidity at 2am in September! Not here on the island 🥵 I digress! It's time to square dance!

later (7:18pm NDT): Square 132 done; only one row left (12 squares)

Sept. 12/23 (1:28am NDT): I got 4 more squares done for a total of 5 this weekend. 8 more to go!
Squares 133-136:

Oct. 6/23 (8:10pm NDT): SDW is running tomorrow through Tuesday this month. Nearly time to get out my hook and see if I can knock out the rest of these squares! Only 7 more needed! I failed to mark down when I did square 137 *facepalm*

Oct. 7/23 (6:32pm NDT): Finished square 138 :) Photo of 137 & 138:

6 to go!

Oct 9/23 (4:38am NDT): The final square has been attached!

Other than the borders, my Aria is done!! I was almost wondering if I'd ever get it finished lol. Whew! And now I need to get to bed. Not sure when I'll start tackling the borders but it certainly won't be tonight!

Feb 7/24 (10:53pm NST): I've begun the border!

The first rnd I'm using Boysenberry, as the pattern says. The pattern specifies 12 of the 15 colors so I plan to add in the other 3 in amongst the appropriate colors.

later (2/08/24 1:09am NST): Rnd 1 of the border finished (Boysenberry) 🧶

later (4:02am NST): Rnd 2 of the border finished (Proper Purple) 🧶

Feb 8, 2024 (11:55pm NST): Just finished rnd 4 of the border. I used Wisteria, which is one of the colors left out in the 12 rnd border the pattern is written with. I like how it looks with all 4 purple shades:

Next will be the blues, but first I need to weigh and calculate the yardage of the finished with colors and update above

  • ??g of " Light Green" (start wght: 94g; end wght/ ?g) = ??? yds

Needle sizes: main - 3.75mm; smaller - 3.5mm

Notes & Photos:
Joining in with the Summer of Lace KAL in @Romi’s Studio.
I really love the look of this sweater and I think it’s time to actually knit one of Romi’s sweaters; I own all of the patterns!
I’m starting with Mauve and then we’ll see where my fancy takes me. I have sooooo many colors of B&L Sport on hand

I'm also participating in the Budget Sweater MAL, which is the brainchild of Ruth at Orchard House Editing and Design, Marcella Chang Knits, and Ruth N. This is the second year, and the focus is knitting a sweater in 4 months (WIPs are acceptable; it's very relaxed; July 1-Oct 31), using stash and/or inexpensive yarns. Knowing me I'll probably cast on before the "start date" lol

Here is my starting ball of yarn; I'll be swatching later today or Sunday:

June 26: Swatching day! I'm starting with a 3.75mm; pattern recommends 3.5mm but my needle gauge is still AWOL so going with what I know the size of. I have a 3.25mm on standby. Pattern gauge is 24 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches

later (11:53pm NDT): My gauge with the 3.75mm needle is 21.5 sts & 34 rows = 4 inches. I like the fabric I’ve gotten with this needle and this yarn.
I don’t have an identifiable 3.5mm needle but I have a 3.25mm one and will see what I get with that

later (June 27: 1:58am NDT): My gauge with the 3.25mm needle is 26 sts & 42 rows = 4 inches. So closer to the 24sts but wowsers on the row gauge! I need to figure out which of these needles is my 3.5mm, and see how close it comes stitchwise. Row wise I’m going to have to go with actual measurements instead of the gauge because there’s no way I’m getting 30 rows = 4inches without using a way bigger needle and throwing my stitch gauge way off

July 3: I worked up a swatch on a 3.5mm needle Saturday night at the music before the fireworks. Time to check the gauge! 27sts & 36 rows. I'm going to retry a swatch on the 3.25mm needle. I think maybe I wasn't relaxed when I did the first couple. I was definitely relaxed on Saturday, listening to the music and enjoying the evening

July 5: Knit another swatch with the 3.75mm needle; 24sts & 38 rows. I can easily add rows in. I’m going to use the 3.75mm needle for this project. Finally! I’ll get to start! tadatada

July 6 (12:51am NDT): I have provisionally casted on the 199 sts needed for my size (48" bust). Whew! Now I can start by knitting a row with my C1, which is the Mauve.

later (3:24pm NDT): I have finished the row of Estonian (Vikkel) braid :) And yay for learning something new! :D I started it using my working needle but found after about 10-12 sts it looked a little sloppy. Then I watched Romi's teeny tiny tutorial (I love the 3t videos! I can sit and watch them for hours) and she used a smaller needle. So I restarted the braid and it's quite cute now

July 7 (4:55am NDT): Finished through section 3 :)

I'm so enjoying this knit. It's been awhile since I did any lace, and I think I needed the balance of it versus all the cables and denser knitting I've been focused on lately. Onto section 4, short rows, later on :)

July 8: Before bed last night, I finished the short rows :) So I have 6 rows (for my size rows 3&4 are repeated 2x) left and I get to move to C2 and section 5. I want to get a photo of the finished shortrows section first though

later (4:23pm NDT): And done the last 6 rows of section 4 :)
I’ve decided to use Light Green for my C2. I have an affinity for purples and greens together. I have 94g of Light Green

July 9
Caught up on Romi’s Youtube lives last night :) Such an incredible amount of lace knowledge!

July 27 (4:04am NDT): Finally cooled down enough that I can knit wothout the yarn sticking to my hands! I’ve just completed row 8 (of the 15 I need) of the stockinette part of section 5. Excited to move onto section 6, and start the front of this sweater soon!
July 28 (12:38am NDT): Need to take the current live sts and put them on hold, take out the provisional CO, and get those sts back on the working needle, and then I can start section 6; shaping the neckline and shoulders. That's also a return to C1.
later (1:24pm NDT): Didn't take a pic earlier, so here's what the back is looking like before I start section 6:

Ready to start the neckline and shoulder shaping :) A small number of short rows to get this underway...

July 29 (2:13am NDT):** Completed the short rows and have started section 7. I have the prov CO 20sts and will add those to the front as per the instructions. I tried to get a pic of the shot rows but it doesn't really show them that well

August 13 (5:28am NDT): So I stayed up to finish the C1 part of section 8. I'm on the last row! And have run out of this ball. I have another hank of this same color/dyelot, I was just hoping to not need to join it in only to cut it again. Oh well, at least I have a second hank. And this tells me if I'd started with the full hank rather than the partial ball leftover from Sistwerp's fingerless mitts, I would've had enough to not run out on the left side. Live and learn! Here's the pic:

August 22 (1:33am NDT): Found the second hank of mauve. I put it in a "safe place" *facepalm* I need to learn not to do that lol! Hoping to get section 8 finished sometime this week :)

October 29: Ok, that took me way too long to actually wind that ball *facepalm* And I needed it for less than a full row! lol
Onto the second half of section 8 (C2) now. photo to add
November 9: Sailed through section 9 and already part way through section 10! Starting C2 of this section photo to add

Notes & Photos:
Nov 20: Setting this up for the FOYAL Makealong portion this year :) I bought this pattern during the 2020 (inaugural) sale, and though I've intended to cast-on several times this year, I still haven't. And I have the yarn! Maybe this'll be done in time to be my birthday sweater. We shall see!

I vaguely recall swatching for this in January or so. I think I wound up sticking to the recommended needle size. I think. Will swatch again to be sure though. While the yarn is listed most places as a 4 or worsted or Aran weight, I've always found it to behave more as a DK and I'm knitting it as such for this sweater.

Alrighty, that's my starting details for this one :) Now to wait for the MAL to start; start time is 9pm EST (10:30pm here in Newfoundland) on November 30th. I can hardly wait to jump into this!! I should try to finish at least 1 project between now and then...

I've declared this as my CoMC: Gnomes project as well. Declaration is found here: 🌺🌷🌹.

Dec 1 (12:36am): Starting back at my swatch because I can't find the notes I'd made before. Oh well! It's row gauge that's vital in this pattern so I need to get 26 rows to 4" (also 22sts to 4") on the larger needles. I'll start with the prescribed 4.0mm

My first ball of yarn weighs 101g so 202 yds of yarn.

Here we go!

later (6:08pm): First swatch results - With size 4.0mm needles I got 22sts & 26 rows to 4 inches :) Woot! Now I can cast-on :)

Dec 2 (5:53pm): Should've updated earlier. I cast-on (348sts, thank you very much!) and knit 5 rnds before turning in last night :) It doesn't look like much yet but it's started!
A long circular knitting needle with several rounds of knitting in a smooth purple yarn done. There are several stitch markers in place around the needle, 4 silver, 1 green "yarn ball" and a darker green one.

Dec 7: A few more rnds done :) I'm nearly done with rnd 13. The cables are sort of starting to be visible.

Dec 13: A few more rnds done. My focus is on getting Sil's blankie done in time right now. I really love this and the yarn is so soft. This will be my new cuddly sweater when it's done. Funny that, another purple cuddly sweater for me. Here's the front (note: more cables appearing):

And here's a look at one side. I love how the ribbing "tilts":

Dec 25: Finally some quiet time to relax and knit :) And I need to join in ball 2 of my yarn :) That's 101g (202yds) done. And a new progress pic (apologies for the bad light):
There are more cable crossings in the center panel now.

Ball 2 weighs 102g so 204 yds. Here I go...

Dec 27: It's going so well! Look at all the cables! I'm a very happy knitter :)

Jan 25: A few rounds more. Rough weekend; Jakey broke me so didn't get much done besides a lot of naps lol But it's looking good:
Mostly a view of the the front cable panel. It's definitely longer than the last photo.

April 7: I am so bad about letting this languish. Really gotta get back into the groove with it. It's too pretty to be ignored!!

June 7: What's that saying about the best laid plans of mice and men? Apparently it applies to knitters! 😂 Picked this up as solace for Miss Silver's misdeed with my blanket project this weekend. It's such a lovely knit, and an easy to follow pattern too 😊  I've added a few rnds anyway. Now to keep it in rotation as I try to get PMP done ahead of its release! Photo update of this beauty:

(Had to join in ball 3 of yarn halfway through rnd 57; Ball 3 weighs 100g so 200yds)

June 13: Was a little more focused on work knitting this week but put a few rnds into this beauty :)

August 2: A few rnds done while I was at the hospital for an appt on Thursday.

The current weight of the yarn ball is 59g; this way I can calculate my yardage over the month.

October 4: Oh my. I haven't worked on this again and FOYAL 2022 planning is starting 🤦🏼‍♀️. Like we're actively talking behind the scenes about plans. I have a video chat scheduled with M tomorrow morning! This baby needs to get done, fast! Once my WHC project is off the needles, this is priority, but let me put in a few rnds in to check-in with...

later (10:28pm NDT): I have progress to report! This is my constant companion (other than getting the baby sweater done for WHC) until it's done, hopefully before November 25!

October 18: Little by little...

October 20: Joining in ball 4; it weighs 102g (204yds). This is going wonderfully 😊

November 1: Lots of progress 😊 17 rnds to separating for the armholes:

November 8 (5:26am): Yay! I've just split the front and back 😊 I can continue in rows on the back later on today. Here's the length increased since last week:

And here's the sweater body laid out; I have it on two circulars now so it lies much straighter:

This is the front, whose stitches are on a spare needle (of a different size). The back stitches are on the working needle. I just might get this done before FOYA starts on the 25th! 😊

November 9: Getting ready to go up for another test at the hospital and am taking along the next ball of yarn since ball 4 is getting low. I think maybe 3-4 rows more with what's left. Ball 5 weighs 100g; 200yds

November 14: At the hospital awaiting the results of the last two tests, and (of course) I'm knitting while waiting for the dr to come in:

November 15: Lots of progress this week! I'm very close to finishing the back:

The mummer marks where I last reported my progress. A more closely focused photo:

November 17: Finished the back 😊 This is coming along super well. Now to get back to the front! Oh, photo of the back:

November 22: Almost done the right front yoke and ball 5 is done. Ball 6 weighs 104g; so 208yds. I don't think I'm going to have this done by Friday. Pressing on!

later (8:58pm NST): Finished the front 😊 Love this neckline:

November 29: Started and frogged the first sleeve this week. It seemed too tight. Need to start again tonight

later (2:29am NST): I've made progress on the sleeve, gotten sucked into a new series on Netflix (Wednesday), and missed Ilvermorny check-ins this week. Oops. I do have a photo though:

December 13: A bit more done:

December 27: A full repeat done. I think. And I seem to have a miscrossed cable too. Not sure if I should rip back the recent crossing and call it the second sleeve or just start again. Leaning towards just going back to the most recent crossing. Here's the pic:

January 8/23: I have frogged the bit of sleeve I had knit. I had something extremely messed up going on. Best to frog in this case! I'll cast on again tomorrow; my bed is calling

January 10/23: Casting on didn't happen yesterday, but it did today 😊 4 rnds in and looking good:

January 17/23: I was a bit focused on my Aria squares this weekend so there's not a lot of progress on my sleeve but there is some! Hoping for a lot more by next week:

June 6/23 (6:48pm NDT): This cold snap (high of 9°; feels like it could snow tonight!) aka Juneuary has me wanting to get this done so I can wear it. Soooo cold these last couple days!

later (9:51pm NDT): A bit of progress between cooking supper, eating and knitting this evening:

June 19/23 (4:22pm NDT): Sleeve 1 is really coming along now :) I seem to have found the rhythm of it, which I was missing on my earlier attempts. Here's where I've gotten to this week:

At this rate I just might get this done sooner rather than later!
