Fit For Cinderella

Lacy edged capelet laid flat

Pattern: my idea using a stitch pattern and edging pattern from other sources (see notes below)

Finished: November 2008

Made for: Heather

Yarn: Bernat Satin (100% acrylic; 200 yds = 100g)
  • 2 skeins of "Plum Mist Heather" = 326yds total (size of skeins has changed since project was made)
Needle size: 4.5mm/ US 7

Notes: I used Godmother’s edging (in some books it’s listed as Grandmother’s edging), and a little lace panel I found on a little girl’s vest called “Snow Princess” by Fiona McTague (Simply Knitting, issue 35, December 2007) to make this one. H’s favorite fairytale is Cinderella, so the use of these patterns seemed to fit. (The color in the photos is very off. Plum Mist Heather is a lovely deep purple with slight flecks of burgundy and navy in it, not this strange pinky color seen here)
She absolutely adored it!!
