My Mitts

A pair mittens in dark mint and purple, with an interwoven cable pattern across the back. The left one has a border of the dark mint at the cuff, while the right has the purple as its edging. The thumbs match the edgings.

Pattern: Twisted Pairs by Claire Marcus (published in Knitter's Magazine, Issue 49, Winter 1997)

Started: November 2008

Finished: November 2008

Made for: Síle aka Me

Yarn: Bernat Aspen Soft (80% acrylic, 20% merino; 275yds = 144g)
  • .75 skein of "red-purple" = 206.3yds
  • .75 skein of "mint" = 206.3 yds
  • 412 yds total
Notes: This is the only mitten patt I’ve ever used :) This is pair 3: I lost one of my old mitts of same patt/different colors & needed a new pair fast! Modified the decs so tip is rounded not pointy.
