Black-beaded Purple-y Peasy-easy Scarfy-dealy

Close up showing the pointed edging, black beads added to the edging, and the silver high heel charm I added between the center two points.

Pattern: Pimpelliese by Christine Ebers (originally published on her blog, Spinning Martha; now available on a Google Drive of her patterns as pdfs found here)

Started: October 6, 2010

Finished: October 23, 2010

Made for: Heather

Yarn: Patons Silk Bamboo (70% rayon from bamboo, 30% silk; 102yds = 65g)

  • 2 balls of "85310 Orchid" = 204 yds
Needle size: 3.75mm/ US 5

Notes: also have 2 tubes of “Toho treasure beads” 4mm cube silver-lined black which I am placing as I did for Sionan’s.

Have 4 points completed :)
10/21/10: 14 points = half :) Light at the end of gift tunnel is becoming more than a pinprick! :)
10/22/10: Have completed 7 points on dec half :) Will have this done tonight or early tomorrow :)
10/23/10: 12:42am: I’m done :)

11/20/10: Heather squealed when she saw this :) And again when she saw the shoe charm :) I think that means she liked it… ;)

Additional photo:

The start: 3 points of edging with the sliver of body stitches, showing the black beads placed along the point edges; the yarn is a deep purple color.
10/06: bad lighting but you can make out the black beads against the purple yarn
