French scarf for English Angel (GBS WinterAngel exchange 2010)

Colorful scarf with pops of pink, orange, green knit in what looks like rolls of stitches.

Pattern: Clapotis by Kate Gilbert (published on Knitty.com🔗; link is directly to the pattern page)

Started: October 17, 2010

Finished: November 5, 2010

Made for: Teddy

Yarn: Bernat Satin Ombres (100% acrylic; 160yds = 80g)
  • 2 skeins of "Empress" = 320 yds
Needle size: 5.0mm/ US 8

Notes: Time for the WinterAngels again :) Don't have time to design this year but this yarn works up awesome, is a really funky colorway & I know I can knit this pattern fairly quickly and competently.
11/05/10: Done :) Love how it looks :) Now to send it off with the other goodies :)

Additional photos:
Beginning triangle of stockinette stitch. Doesn't look like much yet.
10/17: The start

A tringle of multicolored stockinette fills the frame. The right corner is rolled over and the first ladders of the first dropped stitch are visible.
10/17 (later): first dropped stitch!

The knitting is becoming oddly shaped and along the right edge a completed dropped stitch and one that is about halfway dropped are visible.
10/18: second dropped stitch is started; unraveling the drops is so fun!
