Notes & Photos:
December 11: Finally getting to cast these on :) This is my first FOYAL project for this year. This is the first (of 3) pattern I bought during this year's sale portion as well. Here we go!

later: I have learned the Estonian Cast-on, a variation of the Long-Tail Cast-on. It's quite stretchy making it a really good option for a mitt cuff or similar place (top-down sock, etc). Handy to have a stretchy cast-on in one's toolbox :) The twisted rib with the cable detail is set-up and progressing nicely.

December 18: Other than knitting with 3 dpns (sts are on 2, held parallel to each other while knitting with the 3rd; yes, it's cramped and causing issues with my fingers), this going not too bad. If I could convince the Twerp if she wants her gift she needs to let me be in my room alone it would be going better. Here's where I am on the first one:

I've got the thumb gusset started on the other side, thankfully. I'm not confident on getting the pair done at this point, but I'm going to keep trying!

December 24: One done! Can I knit the other one in 3 1/2 hours?? 😂 Not likely! But I have something to at least show her.

December 27: Have I mentioned I dislike magic loop? Cuz I really really really dislike magic loop. I'm 12 rounds away from starting the thumb gusset. Trying to get these done before the end of the year. Current pic of mittie 2:

February 9/23 (1:41am NST): Finally done! A dear friend heard about my struggles with Magic Looping these and ordered a set of 2.5mm Knitter's Pride Zings dpns for me 🥰 They arrived yesterday and in a matter of hours the second mittie is done! Yay!

Love the pattern. Would definitely make another pair; especially with the proper needles for me lol
