Petey's Knotty Hat

 A beanie style hat with intricate cables interlocking both vertically and horizontally through the body.

Started: November 12, 2010

Finished: December 1, 2010

Made for: Petey

Yarn: Diamond Luxury Collection Fine Merino Superwash DK (100% merino; 137yds = 50g)
  • 1.15 balls (57g) of "2525 Tweedy Green" = 157.6 yds
Needle size: 4.5mm/ US 7

Notes: Birthday pressie for a guy who needs a warm hat for working outside, overnight. And I get the pleasure of knitting lots of cables :D
11/13/10: Have the ribbing done & first 7 rnds of the chart. Fairly quick knit this :) But I love cables ;)
11/24/10: Another fab pattern from Knitty :) Am on rnd 15 of the chart (out of 29 rnds) so going well :) I think he's gonna like it :)
11/25/10: Chart finished :) Only 20rnds to go :) Will finish tomorrow I'm sure.
12/01/10: Done & sent :) Pictures to follow :)
12/07/10: He got it :) He loves it :) He's calling it his "head hug" :D I done good :)
