Front of the jacket showing the cabled panels on either side of the shawl collar, sleeves not sewn in yet.

Pattern: Josephine by Melissa Dominguez (published in Knitty, Fall 2005🔗 link is directly to the pattern on Knitty.com)

Started: November 2007

Finished: January 2009

Made for: Bernadette

Size: Large

Yarn: Briggs & Little Country Roving (100% wool; 155yds = 277g)
  • 8 wheels of "Natural" = 1,128yds total
Notes: Name of project comes from Bernie, my dance teacher, asking me to make this for her. I had it done for at least 6 months before I seamed it; the knitting went quite quickly :) She asked for a button closure rather than the belt, because she felt the belt broke up the cables. She adores it :)
