Notes: Started this one awhile ago! I had actually finished it, but didn’t like how it turned out. I had substituted the Waves border pattern from the Shetland Shawl (same book). Just didn’t do it for me. Set it aside for a number of months. Came back from vacation with Fiber Trends pattern “Sheep Shawl”… it’s missing sheep! I frogged back to where the garter st ended, added more rows & I’m now working a staggered sheep pattern using just the sheep motif from FT. Not sure yet how I’m going to edge it…
9/21: Have taken this out of hibarnating & am using it as the “decoy” project at dance, etc. Anywhere I might run into the 4 upcoming birthday people who I’m working on presents for! 9/22: added photo of a sheep today; have this with me on my KIPing walkabout :)
10/15: Back to hibernating! 3 other WIPs need doing!
12/4: Out of hibernating; I need something to get past sock fiasco.
12/24: Am 4 rows from completing 3rd set of sheep :) Looking for an edging now!!
12/25: Toying with idea of straight I-cord for edge…
4/06/10: Done! Worked a 4th set of sheep, leaving off legs to make them appear lying down. Used basic I-cord for edging/bind-off; this was easiest thing I could think of on bus ride home from MN ;) Finished on bus ride to work today :)
9/23/11: action shot added
